If This Were a Dating Site

With the exponential rise of Internet usage during the last decade, a person’s Internet presence is more important than ever. Research is showing that employers are likely to peek into your online activity before hiring and friendships can be made, maintained, and broken virtually entirely online. The word is being spread (especially to listeners of the John Tesh Radio Show…) that ideally we need to keep a clean presence on the web to help promote success.
I wonder about blogs sometimes. When I first heard about them I was like, “so it’s someone posting their diary for the whole world to read?! What?!?!” And in a way they are. But just like with any social networking tool, most people use a very strong, rosy filter. Sometimes the filter will come off, this can be intentional or unintentional depending on the honesty, humility, and/or mood of the author.
I think even with my filter that the general idea of who I am still comes across:

I am a 19 year old single Alaskan who watches too much tv, works a lot, and is very serious about school so I don’t have lots of time to daily water my social life, but I love to create [art] in my spare time.

I think anyone who knows me would agree that my Internet presence reflects who I am, but if this were a dating site I don’t think I would admit to some of the things that I do on here…what does your Internet presence say about you? Do you think it’s accurate?;)

Happy Friday folks!

This is an update to a previous post in which I detailed unto y’all my plan of dropping 30 lbs. whilst being entertained daily by the Gilmore Girls. Just in case you were curious, I haven’t dropped or gained even half a pound since typing that. It’s almost freakish how stable my weight seems to be. Literally, not half a pound of difference.

I also changed the regimen and have taken to adding some good habits and established a few healthy eating rules, they are as follows:

~Walk on the treadmill 5 or more days a week

~Drink more water and eat more fruits and veggies

~Cut back portion sizes

~In training for what has become my goal of becoming an FBI agent; Sit ups and push ups twice daily

~Take vitamins with a glass of milk in the morning with breakfast

~Floss my teeth every night

~Stop cracking my knuckles. It’s kind of a compulsion and now I’m getting weird old lady joint pains in my fingers. Weird.

Hopefully if I can make these into habits I will be healthier, wealthier, and wiser.
